Kathryn Mahaney is  affiliated with the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and appeared on the panel, "Contextualizing Catalonia: The History of Catalan Nationalism and the Spanish Constitution with Respect to the 1st of October."  She was interviewed by the History News Network's Erik Moshe on January 4, 2018 at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association.
