Muslim Labour councillor suspended amid claims she called Adolf Hitler ‘the greatest man in history’

Aysegul Gurbuz, 20, became Luton’s youngest councillor last year when she was elected and is the latest in a series of anti-semitic scandals to hit the party. 

The Warwick University student tweeted that Adolf Hitler was ‘the greatest man in history’ and that Iran should use nuclear weapons to “wipe Israel off the map”.

Last night she was suspended from the Labour Party after Campaign Against Anti-Semitism found a string of offensive posts on her Twitter account, the Mail on Sunday reports.
