Strobe Talbott on the development of nation-states and the progression to a global nation [video 55min]

Strobe Talbot, former Deputy Secretary of State (1994-2001) discusses his book The Great Experiment: The Story of Ancient Empires, Modern States, and the Quest for a Global Nation. He argues against the unilateral foreign policy of the Bush administration and proposes that the United States take the lead in multilateral global politics in the future. Talbott is president of the Brookings Institution.
