Prague rock band The Plastic People of the Universe are unlikely heroes. Relentlessly pursued and eventually jailed by the Czechoslovak Communist authorities, their fate sparked Vaclav Havel and the beginnings of the Velvet Revolution and inspired Tom Stoppard's new play Rock & Roll.
