Pope Benedict XVI has apologized for the controversy surrounding his comments on Islam, which commentator Joe Loconte says proves it's possible to make the right point in the wrong way. A more generous approach to the issue of religious freedom, he says, is to describe how both Islam and Christianity have succumbed to irrationality.
