With American neoliberals placing the market above everything else, and neoconservatives viewing morality as their primary concern, the inevitable collisions between the two manifest themselves in ways which stretch from the furore surrounding Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' at the Super Bowl to corporate scandals and disgraced CEOs. Laurie Taylor is joined by Wendy Brown, Professor of Political Science, University of California, Berkeley, who presents the case that democracy is in danger of being crushed between the forces of neoliberalism and neoconservatism.
