San Francisco Earthquake Centennial [multiple clips]

As we observe the centennial of the April 18th 1906 San Francisco Earthquake, NPR offers a microsite for a month's worth of reports on the 7.8-magnitude quake and resulting fires that forever changed San Francisco just as it was becoming known as the economic and cultural hub of the West. One hundred years later, the city remembers the disaster and recovery. Visit this NPR misrosite for links to multiple reports from many NPR programs and correspondents, historical and current photos, audio and video clips, and links to outside webistes.
