Eritrea/Ethiopia [9min from 07:11]

Tension is increasing between two old enemies in Africa. This week, United Nations' officials warned that a new war is possible between Ethiopia and its neighbour, Eritrea. Both countries have begun increasing their military presence in the area near the shared border. The threat of war comes at a time when both countries are facing rising internal opposition: In Ethiopia, more than forty people have been killed this week during four days of clashes between opposition supporters and the police. Matt Bryden is the Horn of Africa project director for the International Crisis Group. "As It Happens" reached him in Johannesburg, South Africa.
