Our Island Story

Sandi Toksvig and guest co-host Stella Duffy welcome publisher Nicholas Oulton and his 12- and 14-year-old daughters for a discussion of his centenary edition of Our Island Story, a classic children's history of Britain from the Romans to the death of Queen Victoria. First published in 1905, this beautifully written narrative sets out the history of Britain in a way that has delighted and enthused children for generations. This podcast begins with Sandi and Stella's interview of Henry Chancellor, author of James Bond: The Man and His World -- The Official Companion to Ian Fleming's Creation (Century).
