In Britain, history is more and more popular on primetime TV and in airport blockbusters and, indeed, at universities, but less and less popular in schools. Libby Purves discusses the appeal of history with Kate Mosse, author and broadcaster, whose historical novel, "Labyrinth", has been in the bestseller list for the past twelve weeks; and Jonathan Phillips, senior lecturer in Medieval History at Royal Holloway, University of London.
