National Museum of Industrial History restarts construction
With the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office investigation still looming overhead, contractors on Tuesday restarted construction on the National Museum of Industrial History with the hopes of getting the south Bethlehem museum ready for a 2016 opening.
Under the glare of news cameras but without local dignitaries, a backhoe unceremoniously began scraping the stone from the ground floor in preparation for the installation of stormwater and sewer piping and, eventually, a concrete floor.
Museum CEO L. Charles Marcon said the $800,000 of improvements likely won't be wasted no matter what Attorney General Kathleen Kane's office concludes.
