The Nixon Administration's Better Approach to Drug Rehabilitation (Interview)

At the 2014 annual meeting of the Organization of American Historians HNN interviewed Claire Clark about her paper, "Scaling Up Synanon:  The Co-optation of Communal Addiction Treatment, 1965-1973."  Though she emphasizes the importance of studying grass roots efforts to address drug addiction, she also notes that the federal government under Nixon devoted a lot of resources to drug rehabilitation.
