Growing British-Sikh militancy

A hidden world of Sikh activism is revealed by investigative journalist Amardeep Bassey as he uncovers the story behind the riot which led the Birmingham Rep to close the controversial play "Behzti". Through the story of last December's riot, Amardeep Bassey, himself a Sikh, introduces us to a fascinating network of Sikh militant groups based in the West Midlands. Bassey is the Investigations Editor of the Birmingham Sunday Mercury and the author of a forthcoming book about criminal gangs in Birmingham. The son of Punjabi Sikh immigrants, he was born in Wolverhampton, where he still lives.
