Richard --
Oh, I'm in West Texas -- I get "sirred" all the time. I hate it.

Just thank God you haven't devolved to the point where you leave whole words out of your posts, and spell Morey as Morrie -- like me. That day will come. Nearly the shock you get the first time the cute counter girl calls you Sir.

Richard --
Age being the sensitive topic of conversation that it is these last few days in the HNN blogosphere axis of recrimination, I'll simply thank you for these contributions!

I'm so old now compared to you, I actually know that Morrie Amsterdam got successfully sued for cadging the tune to Rum and Coca-Cola. I even play Goodnight, Irene (by the Weavers -- though I didn't much their politics) on my CD. And like Sharon Howard (I would wager), the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the name Old Trafford is not Man U, but Test Cricket.
Nyhan was cool, BTW. Loved his exposes of the Whitey Bulger scandals.
