Turns out that Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old company, also got 1.4 billion dollars from the"Iraqi" government money we were controlling with a no-bid contract to import fuel from Kuwait. That, and a whole load of other clearly unethical practices by the CPA during it's reign in Iraq are documented by a piece in today's Pravda. Thanks to Professor Paula Pickering at William and Mary for bringing this little gem to my attention. I can't imagine why the Arab world doesn't trust us, can you?
