I just read in this morning's New York Times about the death of Italian actress Alida Valli. Apparently she passed away on Saturday the 22nd. She was essentially unknown in the United States except among die-hard Ayn Rand fans, for her memorable performance in the Mussolini-era film version of Rand's novel, We the Living.
