Blogs Cliopatria A Note from Chris
Aug 27, 2005A Note from Chris
I have a note from our Cliopatrician in uniform, Chris Bray. He is still at Camp Shelby, near Hattiesburg, MS. He has joined the 2/128th Infantry as his"go-to-war battalion." He'll be a SAW gunner in A Company, Third Platoon, and expects deployment in November to CampNavistar, Kuwait. This is a SAW. It fires 750 rounds per minute and weighs 16.5 lbs."With several drums of 5.56 ammo," says Chris,"it's really, really heavy. Not so nice on the knees. Boo, sore knees." He does not have ready access to e-mail, so if you're interested in contacting Chris, the fastest means is to write to him at this address until his deployment:
Sgt. Chris Bray
A Co., 2/128 IN
2490 25th Street
Camp Shelby, MS 39407
He posts much of this information at Historiblogography, where we hope that his friends, Michael Benson, Linus Kafka, and Sam Shah will keep up the good work in Chris's absence.
