There's a rumor going around. I don't know who started it. It holds that the American Civil Liberties Union and Representative Gerald Allen (R, Tuscaloosa) have a secret deal goin' on. The ACLU will quietly support his bill to ban all books by and about gay people from the state's libraries in order to get the King James Version of the Bible removed from their shelves. It's a win-win deal, isn't it?

I'm confused as to what the point of posting this rumor was.
Are we to understand that the ACLU is so virulently anti-Christian as to sell out the gays, or that Republicans are so virulently anti-gay as to sell out Christians, or both?
