Settling Back In (With Drunk Germans)

The Rebunkers, dispersed far and wide these last few weeks, are back at our respective posts. Look forward to new and exciting happenings this new year including the Rebunk recruitment drive. that's right -- we are going to be looking for one or more new additions. details to come.

In the meantime, this game will probably keep you occupied for hours. I am warning you now -- many of you will hate me for this. Your job is to get the teetering drunkard safely on his way. It's a German game -- you click on the sign to start and then move your mouse left and right to try and keep the guy upright while he walks towards you.

Apparently the record so far is 82 meters. I plan to beat that rather than polish off my syllabi this afternoon.

Ouch. Ingrate!

Best Blog? I thought I was at Rebunk and not Cliopatria.

Oops.

Steve --
As an HNN intern you are not playing the game. You are participating in its best blog, responding to a post in the only way possible. It's Rebunk's fault!

I'll give you that. Rick Shenkman is not not paying me to sit around and play flash games all day! Oh well.

There're sounds? Dammit! I need some speakers.

Derek Charles Catsam - 1/11/2005

Bad signs --
When he starts yodeling right away.
When he says "come here baby!"
When he seriously lists to one side at step one.
Like most games like this, the computer sometimes just decides that you are not going to do well on any given move.

My computer at work is slower than at home which makes the drunk walk slower and easier for me to control the him. Up to 81 meters and closing in.

DAMN! It's addictive, isn't it?

Steven Heise - 1/11/2005

Of course, as soon as I post the last I put up the respectable 92 meters. Stupid not waiting to post.

I'm at 81, as soon as the record falls though I'll be sure to inform the Rebunk community.

51 meters is my best so far.
