Three More Cheers ...

Apparently in response to the lawsuit that I wrote about here, the Treasury Department's Office of Assets Control announced yesterday that it is easing its ban on publication in the United States by Cuban, Iranian, and Cuban authors. The new rules continued to ban American publishers' interactions with government officials of those countries, but it allows American publishers to encourage and disseminate the work of their citizens and dissidents, including the Nobel Prize Laureate Shirin Ebabi, who was a party to the suit filed against the government.
