Along the same lines of Aeon's previous post, Dubya's choice of Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General is very worrisome, especially for those of us who believe in academic merit and nondiscrimination.
It was Gonzales who undercut Ted Olsen in the University of Michigan case and persuaded the DOJ to issue a report endorsing"diversity" as a factor in admissions.
