It’s amusing to see conservatives, whenever it’s convenient, reach for explanations that they routinely condemn when others employ them. Case in point: Yesterday Rush Limbaugh suggested that the soldiers who posed Iraqi prisoners in sexually humiliating positions may have been influenced by what they’ve seen over the years on pornographic websites. In other words, it’s not their fault. The blame should be placed on their environment.
