I agree with Gus on this one. Shelby Thames has been told he can't just haul tenured professors into his office and fire them on the spot, and he's pissed off the local press, but the College Board is trying to save him and his henchpeople, and none of the other problems at USM has been solved. The mood in Hattiesburg seems rather grim just now.
I'll be posting an update probably tomorrow, as the effects of the settlement with Glamser and Stringer become a little easier to discern.
