I forgot to mention that Ron Paul has already been on the Colbert show and Colbert has already claimed credit for an increase in his poll numbers.

This is absolutely great but we all know that major newspapers and television outlets are not going to report on this. There is, however, a way to get some national exposure for this event. I am talking about the Stephen Colbert show. On the show he plays an egotist patterned after Bill O’Reilly and he often talks about something called the Colbert bump, that being the idea that when a politician comes on his show they will do much better in the polls. After the Iowa straw poll Colbert claimed that he won it because of the showing by Mike Huckabee who had been a guest on the program and in fact he had Huckabee on again to talk about the Iowa results. Interestingly, one of the questions Colbert asked was who do you see as a young Mike Huckabee who will surprise people and Huckabee answered Ron Paul. I have already sent Colbert a link to David’s post with this link and the more people that do the same the more likely it is that this event will get some attention. If you do this be sure and mention the Colbert Bump in your message.
