Ron Paul Does a Great Job

Ron Paul isn't as flashy as some but he did what he needed to do: attacked the war, defended limited government, and ended with a flourish by promising the roll-back Bush's assault on civil liberties. Kudos all around. He has clearly staked out a position as the only anti-Iraq war candidate in the GOP field but will the media notice? The debate should be repeated later tonight on MSNBC.

I won't nit pick: having watched various libertarian candidates over the years crack up on TV because of the pressure, and allowing for his differences from my views, I think he did a superb job and definitely differentiated himself. A couple of answers were too scholarly to be followed by someone not already familiar with lib views (sound money, the foreign policy of Robert Taft), and his first answer awkwardly phrased his opposition to the Iraq War and made an unclear reference to winning which he quickly clarified with time having run out. Otherwise, he made several clear statements of the libertarian viewpoint that would have been missing had he been missing.
