A Christian Higher Education for Iraq ...
If an institution declares its intention to be the leading example of a major Christian research university, it is particularly embarrassing when one member of its basketball team is indicted for the murder of another member of its basketball team. It is additionally embarrassing when it stands accused of bait and switch admissions policies. (See also: here.) It is further embarrassing when it revokes financial aid for a seminary student who is homosexual. It is additionally embarrassing when its student newspaper publishes an editorial endorsing the right of gay couples to marry; and then it considers disciplining the newspaper's editorial staff. (See also: here.) But if you are Baylor, you still plan to reshape higher education in Iraq. On the other hand, Baylor probably won't be promoting gay marriage in Medina or staging the Vagina Monologues in Cairo. Thanks to Eugene Volokh and Brian Ulrich for the latter tips.
