Kevin Drum at Calpundit properly dismisses the
Kerry intern love affair story, which has been dominating the talk-radio airwaves, as trivial. Unfortunately, he takes all too seriously the equally trivial story about Dubya and the National Guard.

David, Do you really believe that the records of privileged elites seeking to evade military duty to which they subsequently order men and women not so privileged to duty are trivial? Your reaction seems not very thoughtful. If GWB evaded military service which he now claims he fulfilled, it adds to a youthful record of irresponsibility that he now hides and may be lying about.
