Digitizing Stanford ...

Greg Ransom at Liberty & Power dug out of the bottom of a New York Times story the news that Google has plans to digitize all pre-1923 volumes in the Stanford University library, that is all books not covered by copyright restrictions. It is, as Ransom says, very big news for historians.
