MY MEETING WITH JOHN KERRY

Well....not really, at least not yet. I have reason to believe that I might be able to meet with him, probably in a group setting. If I get a chance to ask him questions, what should they be? I think it is best to keep away from personal issues (such where were you on the afternoon on July 8, 1971? etc.). Suggestions please!

First, ask him which Democratic candidate he would vote for, if he were not himself running.

Then, ask him where he sees the great areas of general, moderate, agreement in US politics are, the things that Democrats and Republicans can agree on, the things that the Bush administration has done that he supports. (then ask a Republican if they agree...)

Ask if he thinks our pre-emptive war in Kosovo was a wrong on principle. What are his criteria for pre-emption (assume he's for it and let him say otherwise).

You know David something that Charles Murray notes in his book is that no one talks about liberty in politics anymore. I'd like to know what Kerry thinks about the concept generally, or any politician for that matter.

I'd go for it man. I interviewed Al Gore once, and it was really interesting.
