The Speaker of the House

From AP via Yahoo.com. “[Dennis] Hastert's comments were biting. He said in a statement that Democrats opposing the measure ‘voted today in favor of MORE rights for terrorists.’"

It is hard to convey how much anger that I have for Dennis Hastert right now.

Democrats are guilty of many sins, but to my knowledge none of their votes made this man Speaker of the House.

PS: In fairness, 7 Republicans voted against the monstrosity, and 34 Democrats voted for it.

Someone needs to point out to the "law or order" Republicans that you don't lose rights by being accused of something, and the reason they're called "rights" is that they're not privileges....

Nah, it's been done.

Though you'd think that the recent Indonesian Christian militant executions would have given them a little wake-up call.
