Support for Scholars from the Newberry, Huntington & Folger

The Newberry Library, the Huntington Library, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and the American Antiquarian Society offer the following support, available immediately through the end of May, 2006, to faculty members or graduate students at New Orleans institutions of higher education who are in need of a research home during the hurricane emergency: work space and research resources, on-site internet access, and a vibrant community of scholars. Each institution will also make available on a case-by-case basis a limited number of short-term fellowships or comparable support. Financial support available to each scholar will depend on the demand. Applicants must be working on topics appropriate to our collections.

We regret that we do not have the facilities to offer housing. At the American Antiquarian Society, rooms may be available for rent in the Society's Goddard-Daniels House.
