John Dickerson, Time's White House correspondent, is leaving that magazine to become Slate's chief political correspondent. Currently on book leave, he will start in the fall. Among other many other excellent articles, Dickerson cowrote, with Nancy Gibbs, last year's Man of the Year story on George W. Bush. He also joined Time right out college as a secretary.
