JUNIUS RODRIGUEZ IS NOT A CAREER POLITICIAN AND DOES NOT COME FROM A POLITICAL FAMILY.

Central Illinois families are fed up with politicians who cling to political parties and divisive ideology in order to protect their place in the political class and look out for special interest groups.

Washington, D.C. seems to be a great distance removed from the heartland of Central Illinois, but the deliberations that occur there and the policies that are enacted as a result do have a real impact on the lives of local residents. That’s why having a congressman who shares your concerns as well as your aspirations is so important in this pivotal election year. The well-worn, business-as-usual of the past simply cannot continue if government is to be responsive to our needs. We deserve better!

About Junius Rodriguez

Junius’ father, an auto mechanic and his mother, a homemaker, raised him to have a strong values-based work ethic with a focus on family and faith. In his twenty-five years as an educator at Eureka College, and as a civically engaged resident of our district, Junius understands that we are called upon to serve one another.

Junius currently serves on two boards for local organizations where he works to provide support for: youth and senior programs, individuals with special needs, and emergency shelter for women and their children. In his service to others, Junius applies a broad-based visionary outlook to finding creative solutions to the various challenges individuals confront on a daily basis.

Junius’ only allegiance will be to serving the best interests of residents of the IL-18th congressional district, not special interests. If elected, Junius has promised to opt-out of the congressional pension system. If you want a public servant who will bring folks together to find common sense solutions rather than more of the same career politicians, the choice is clear in 2018 – vote for Junius Rodriguez.
