Finally, the UN which is deeply implicated in failing to stop the Tutsi genocide is proving again its usefulness. Only under its rule in Kossovo, could the Albanians have engaged in the ethnic cleansing of the Serbs without international intervention. Poor Iraqis - no wonder they were hesitant to invite the UN to supervise their transition to self government. As the Russians used to say - foreign advisors are a full employment opportunities to young inept Western intellectuals. No wonder they prefer Putin.
