ROTATING PRESIDENCY - DISASTER FOR IRAQ

This is, by the way, just as true in Iraq. The harebrained scheme of a rotating presidency between Shia (60%), Sunni (15%) and Kurds (20%) is not only unfair but also a recipe for disaster. All these three presidents will do is try to make sure that they enlarge of hold on to their share of power, undermine each other and blame government shortcomings on the other two. No one will be responsible or accountable to the people and therefore this government would end up at least as corrupt and ineffective as those which preceded it. Mubarak, Assad and company could turn to their populations and say - I told you so and the American coalition would have squandered a hard earned opportunity to make a difference, not to mention to score an important victory in the war on terror.
