OUR SOUTHERN NEIGHBORS ARE HURTING

Avian Flu, earthquacks, NY subway scare, it is all getting to be two much. Still, we must not ignore the terrible plight of our Central American neighbors who are buried in mud. I was glad to read that"The U.S. Embassy was sending $100,000 worth of food, and Salazar said 50 tons of food and other aid have been donated by private businesses." Nor has Spain forgotten its its former colonies. Some International aid is also being pledged to El Salvador.

For some reason, Latin America always seems to get the short end of the stick because there is always a worse disaster somewhere else.
