What a choice. Iranians can hardly be blamed for wishing to stay home. I would not advise it. First, as Michael Ledeen (faster, please) shows, the Iranian regime is quite capable of manipulating turnout to insure the legitimacy of the outcome. Second, Teheran's mayor seems to have taken a page from Chavetz' playbook and seeks to use class warafare to gain power. His ideas about emptying Teheran are really scary. In other words, the Venezuelan destiny bad as it may be (young Venezuelan professionals move to Mexico in search for work) may not be the worse destiny awaiting Iranians.

Sorry to seem an alarmist, but the article rather scared me. I like both Iran and Iranians.
