Over 800 students to test history knowledge

More than 800 students are expected to compete in the National History Bee and National History Bowl Championship Friday through Sunday at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville.

Teams from 47 states are participating, including three area schools — North Oldham Middle School, Louisville Collegiate School and Noe Middle School.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is an academic competition for elementary and middle school students that is designed to test their knowledge of a wide range of historical topics.
